1What the public site uses
One cookie, and only if you pick a language from the selector. If you leave it alone, the site writes nothing to your device on a first visit.
It exists so the site shows you the language you asked for instead of the one for your country. It is a technical cookie, necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested.
| Name | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|
| locale | Remembers the language you chose | One year | This site |
|---|
2Why there is no cookie banner
The law requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, profiling, advertising. This site uses none of them.
Technical cookies need no consent, and that is not our own reading: it is Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian supervisory authority’s guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021.
If we ever introduce analytics or profiling tools, the banner would appear before they are set, and this page would be updated.
3Inside the software
After sign-in the software uses technical cookies: one keeps the session open, the other two remember two screen preferences. Sign-in cannot work without the first.
These do not follow you either, and are not shared with third parties for marketing.
MarkerDrift uses the browser’s local storage for nothing at all. We write it down because local storage is not a cookie, almost nobody declares it, and ours stays empty.
| Name | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps the session open and protects it | Session | The authentication service |
|---|
| sidebar | Remembers whether the menu is collapsed | One year | MarkerDrift |
|---|
| campo | Remembers field mode | One year | MarkerDrift |
|---|
4How to delete them
You can delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. If you delete “locale”, the site goes back to choosing the language from the country you connect from.
